fingerpie
Hi I'm set to sort the front brakes out on my 330 at the weekend. I've got remanufactured calipers to go on along with braided hoses I bought that were listed for E46 316-330. I have just checked the hoses against the new calipers and the thread on the hoses is too big to go into the caliper, so it's either the remanufactured calipers have a different thread to standard or the 330 has a different thread size on the brake lines due to having a different caliper. Can anyone shed any light and possibly post a link to a known set that will fit the 330. Cheers Neil
fingerpie
Please ignore Just found I was looking at the caliper bleed nipple hole instead of brake line hole I'm off to kill myself now JWM330CI
scrimja
Killing yourself is slightly extreme. Definitely hang your head in shame for a while though! lol JWM330CI

simonlpearce
Lol you numpty! Good luck with the install, i would strongly advise on getting yourself a gunson eezibleed kit and make sure you re-bleed the clutch fluid whilst your at it as there is a good chance air will get in there too! Are the clutch and brake system one in the same? If air gets into the brake system will the clutch will be affected?
fingerpie
All sorted, quite a job to do - new calipers, discs, pads, hoses, carriers removed and painted, calipers & discs painted, brake & clutch fluid changed and systems bled. The clutch bleed was a little awkward to spot and do but at least it's all done, plan to do the same on the rears in a few weeks once the fronts have bedded in Eezibleed kit did make things much easier, definitely worth it.
