Maxus Posted April 24, 2010 Report Share Posted April 24, 2010 Hi all, after a bit of a break from BMW's I could resist no longer and have bought an E46 convertible. My last BMW was an E30 and I was on the E30 Zone. The new one is a 330 Sport manual in Atlantis blue. Bit of a different colour but does look good out in the sun. And a quick pic of my last BMW - E30 Alpina Convertible And the one that started it all - and probably my favourite Hopefully get to meet some of you at some stage! I come home, the missus passes out, so I finally have some time for a bit of forum action. And besides, its a great colour for a E30. Pray continue... Have put an Alpine headunit with ipod control and steering wheel module and Infiniti front components in. I have seen on ebay the custom enclosure for the ski hatch which fits a square Kicker sub - that needs to be done as I am severly lacking depth to the sounds. Oh, and replaced the gear knob - just a new standard leather Mtec one - the previous owner had scuffed the leather on the old one. That sort of thing really freshens an interior up. The tech help on this website has been very helpful even with these few basic tasks - along with a xenon bulb replacement and a throttle reset. hi mate welcome! This caused quite a thread on the E30 Zone about the date of availability of Crimson and Oxblood leather and the difference in shades between the 2 - us fans are into the details! The Alpina was Schwartz Black with Crimson leather. Cool car but as it was used as a 3rd vehicle it didn't get out much. The E46 is a second car that my wife uses everyday which is better although we did sell her beloved MK4 Golf when we got this.
