Hi guys. Just bought myself a 320 2.2ltr coupe on black with beige leather but I need some help to get the inside looking nicer. I need a leather specialist and where's the best place to get replacement trim as the carbon graphite ones I have are scratched quite a bit. I love in Maidstone

Thanks guys

Hi. The carbon trim can be repainted as follows.

Remove from car.

Clean and go with a tack cloth

2 light coats of primer

2 light coats of satin black, or whatever color you choose.

I always then apply a few coats of matte lacquer to add a layer of protection.

Works a treat.

In regard to the leather what's the issue

Thanks CChoker although I'm not very handy at these kinda things. The leather isn't rippes on the seat but it has loads of crazing. Lots of use basically. The armrest does have scratches trouble is they're black marks. I'll try and post some pics later. I've heard people can do some amazing things repairing old looking leather but I wasn't sure if it was just best to replace it

Welcome to the forum mate.

Like what chimp Coker has said . It is possible to restore tired interior. Get some pics taken and post a thread about it. We can give you advice from there.

For the centre armrest. If it's just a mark. It can be fixed with a magic eraser. Search it on ebay. Need to get one too. As this is good in getting marks off plastic and leather.

If this those not fix it. Then a small touch up is needed.

Hope this helps mate.

If the leather is worn, a scuff master kit or. Similar will be needed. Again without pics we can't give a true evaluation however if not ripped you'll be able to get it right for very little outlay

Hi my names Geoff. Registered because my wife has an E46. Car is a 330 CI Sport 03 registration with 56000 miles and is totally rust free apart from some blisters on the rear wheel arch top that was repaired by a BMW dealer 6 years ago under there 12 year anti corrosion scheme....go figure! Had the car from new. Blue metallic with full tan leather and sunroof.

Hi Geoff, it's been documented on here that bmw rust repairs have been substandard in the past, sadly your out of warranty now, same as me which is a bit of a pisser!

Hi Jay

not strictly true as it's a September car so 12 years is still running. Any hoo I have a complaint number from BMW customer services so the clock stopped at that point. Whether I will have any luck with it. ........that's another matter. But I am thinking that if there is no movement I will pursue advertising standards and trading standards as if there own main dealers cannot repair the car and it lasts for less than the 12 years. They cannot advertise the warranty truthfully
