suhail97
Its time for insurance renewal, we live in a not so great postcode, the car is parked on the road, I have an IN10 and the Mrs had a crash 4 years ago + 5 years NCB Kwikfit renewal = £1500, £500 more than last year! Tesco insurance, look at accidents within 3 years so thats the crash wiped off = £950 and as a club card holder we get nearly £150 off too so £800 for the year, but then tesco value insurance.... £700 with a free MOT and service by halfords or national! I've had a look around and the only differences are no windscreen or in car entertainment cover! Has anyone else used Tesco for car insurance? Obviously we're not intending on making a claim and its just a piece of paper to stay legal, but half the price of last years cheapest company - what's the catch?? iluminusbutterfly
im with tesco, be careful of the "free" things they give with the insurance, i was supposed to get £50 fuel vouchers and clubcard points and im almost 2 years in now and i have still not seen either of these, i have phoned to complain countless times and i still havn't received either, in the end i decided its more hastle than its worth trying to chase them up, only went with them because they were the cheapest anyway
mit
Just read all the terms and conditions and see what is and isn't covered, and decide for yourself. Personally I'd try and save the £800 and not care whether my insurance certificate has a tesco value logo on it or not. Is there a Tesco Finest insurance as well? suhail97
£1500 OMG! what you driving? Its my IN10 that stings, it'd be a third of the price if I didn't have that
simonlpearce
Seems like a fair quote to me and Tesco are a reputable company so id jump on it!

mit
Did we not have a sponsor who was a insurance broker? Yeah but a lot of people have reported he hasn't been able to save them anything and often comes out more expensive than the usual money supermarket type sites. happy days
Try admiral or privilege, they seem to completely beat everyone else for me! I only pay £730 fc for the m3 with admiral and £310 fc for my 330i touring with privilege!!
suhail97
Tried them, but because of the crash 4 years ago and my IN10 they're not that great. Thanks anyway
