Foggy Posted October 3, 2008 Report Share Posted October 3, 2008 Mine 323i se was running at 29.7 mpg until i put my induction kit on yesterday and boom average 20 mpg now however im still a very happy man when i put my foot down and listen to the sweet sound, getting cnl remap this weekend so should help. Raven, the OBC mpg figure will fluctuate because it is meant to. If you take it out on a motorway and do 30mpg for 20 minutes, your average will rise. The needle under the rev counter is meant to tell you what you mpg is at that moment. If you stick cruise control on at 70mph on a hilly dual carriageway you'll soon see what is going on The only realistic test is to fill up to the brim and reset the trip. Do this every time and see how many miles you are getting from a tank. Working out fuel economy by seeing how far you go on £20 is a waste of time since fuel costs can vary widely.
