It took me a while to source a good black headlining with a sunroof cut-out but Quarry Motors came up with the goods in the end This is what you get - they supply it as a kit for £120. You will be working around the airbags later so I’d rather be safe than sorry! Then it is into the front to start stripping – removing/un-plugging lights, grab handles and sun visors etc Then work your way back. I also removed the window rubbers. The B pillars will need removing - this involves pulling the top of your rear door card forward to get to the clips. You will also need to remove the bottom seat belt bolt to get it off. The A pillars have screws hidden behind the ‘airbag’ strip As you can see the headlining will start to drop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
stringy93 Posted September 21, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 Out through the door. I recommend removing the front headrests to give you a bit more room. It’s a tight squeeze but it will fit! I found to fit the sunroof shade it was easier to remove the sunroof glass. It’s only 6 screws but get someone to give you a hand! In goes the new headlining and the refit is the reversal of the removal just using your black bits Before putting the C pillars back in I fitted the rear shelf I sprayed my window rubbers black using a rattle can. I did price up for replacing these but it was going to be silly amounts of money even second hand so for a few quid I’ve done the same job and you can’t tell. Just my 2p Umm yeah possibly, its just with the rear shelf being black now it might not look right going black-grey-black. Ive still got all the grey bits so I might give it a go sometime! Was put off though as someone said the new one never really goes back in properly, bit like when ya pull up a professionall laid carpet if ya know what I mean? Im very anal about stuff like that, everything has to be perfect Aslong as you dont bend it when putting it in through the doors it'll be fine.
