spawn
All ET/OFFSET is still dependent on tyre and wheel size so bear this in mind if you are trying to fit wheels from one model to a different model, also if the car is lowered then you may have issues with rubbing/non fitment due to fouling. The higher the ET number the more the wheel will sit inside the wheel arch 1 Series E81/82/87/88 = PCD 5x120, centre bore 72.5mm and M12x1.5 bolt thread. suhail97
Are BMW the only people to use so many different combinations? I'm sure all Vauxhalls have the same offset, and I've seen too many escort vans with Sapphire cosworth alloys!

Jorge-
when you actually look down the BMW list they don't change too much. just the offsets really on the bigger cars. they all use the 5x120 pattern which is a start, most other manufacturers use 2 different ones. Chris_Evo
I want to fit these http://www.alloywheels.com/8x18_Inch_Front_9x18_Inch_Rear_Dare_BBM_Silver_Polished_Lip_Alloy_Wheels_Only But will they fit? I'm worried about the 9" rears and 255/35/18's rubbing... Also wanted to fit lowering springs as I know it'll look like a jacked up truck without a little lowering. At the moment I have 17's with 245/40/17 rears.. Let me know if you have done something similar and does it fit

Alb328
hi guys. i have a non msport and have fitted 19" m6 reps on mine with et15 and 9.5 on rears! yes they are on stretched 235's and i had the arches rolled and fitted spring assisters to reduce the travel of the suspension and make the ride height about 5-10 mm higher. it worked, there is a poke and very little rubbing although when carrying passangers it does! Blair
The lower the number the more the wheel sits out the higher the number the more it sits inboard. The ET's sound about spot on to me.
Portman84
what about front: 235/35/19 8.5j et 42 Back: 255/35/19 9.5j et 38 on my e46 323i ? the rear ones rub on the outside, car is on coil-overs and i want to lower it down some more. gona check tomorrow if its rubbing on the arch or the rear bumper but been told from some people i should go 245 wide and other people said that is fine just to go for 30 high tires. i don't understand much about all of that but got quite some unique rims custom powder coated and don't want to get rid of them or have to go to 18inch rims to lower it down, even knowing it would be easier but wouldnt look as good as it looks with my tsw silverstone in custom blue chrome
