mneth1986
Cool, full service will cover oil change so yup, fresh oil every year and sparks, filters etc every 2 years, not a big price to pay for peace of mind. Dont see why people dont do an oil change every year anyway for the price of £50 (kwik fit quote for my 330ci) as long as you watch them do it just worried about my wheel bearing that i was told was on its way out on its service a few weeks ago, they told me to drive more until it gets worse so they can pinpoint what wheel, im going away next weekend for the bank holiday and will probably do around 500 miles. ive only done around 75 miles since the service and im guessing since as they couldnt pinpoint it its not too bad at the moment, do you guys think ill be OK? after that i should then be able to pinpoint it and get it fixed. what do you reckon? if you drive down a decent road around 40mph and sway the car side to side (like an f1 car warming tyres lol) you should be able to hear which side of the car its coming from. to be honest i'd never go to kwik fit, find a decent independant bmw in your area! B0B
My dad had a wheel come off on his maxi years ago. He was on a country road and as he touched the brake one of the front wheels carried on. The funniest story about my dad and his cars has to be this one though. 6.30pm on a Friday, he pulls up to the spinney hill roundabout in Northampton and stalls his 2.2 automatic princess, the roundabout is chocka and he can't get it started. Luckily a guy stopped in a new escort van and offered to tow him off the roundabout. My old man takes the key out of the ignition to look in the boot for a tow rope, the guy with the van says "its ok I got a rope in the van" So they hitch up the princess, van man says "just watch out for my break lights" and pulls off. My dad grabs the wheel and "click" the steering lock engages. While my dad is trying to get his keys out of his pocket the van takes the first exit. My dad carries on round the roundabout, mounts the centre of it, the van is pulled sideways until the rope snaps! The guy in the van never stopped, so he never found out what happened. It still makes me laugh now at the story the guy in the van must have telling afterwards. Took the old man a while before he saw the funny side. mit
I had a wheel come off, along with the rest of my suspension components... but it was when I crashed into a motorway barrier and wrote off my old E28 15 years ago
