mit
i thought nasty code could be present in just a pixel of a webpage and simply by navigating to it you have given all the permission that is needed for it to do its worst. This was the case in 1998 and possibly 2002, not now. Edited May 31, 2012 by mit
Sam
So, if you have to click something for it to become active, you're saying everyones clicked a virus installer (those who are saying they have problems). Or was it the automatic redirection that caused the issue?
Dr T
This was the case in 1998 and possibly 2002, not now. fair dos, so is there something different in a nasty script that means you have to allow it to do its thing (like install itself on your computer) which the automatic scripts (like advert banners etc) that just get on with their thing regardless as soon as the page loads do different? Just seems to me that if an advert or pop up can be made to do its thing without prompt surely a virus/trojan/worm or whatever could operate i a similar fashion? bobdisk
My works runs MacAfee, and that has started blocking E46 Zone, saying it is "infected", but I cant find what with! My IT man might look into it, if theres time. On the good side, I have no probs at all with E46Zone at home. I run AVG on one computer and Microsofts own Security Essentials on another, so what is wrong with MacAfee?
