Apparently they clean/prevent deposits...... Can't really tell the difference when driving, but I'm averaging 27 mpg urban driving and 45 mpg on the motorway...... I think the ride will always be a little harsher and there are definitely some which are harsher than others which might make a case for damping / rebound adjustables... keano Posted June 27, 2013 Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 If you're after comfort take a look at twin tube coilovers - ride better slammed than stock does with wheel gap, but you don't have to ride them slammed twin tube coils like kw's are just lovely for a daily drive. Lewis330m Posted June 27, 2013 Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 Hsd mono's @£775 are like a bouncy castle on softest setting so if you want that they can do it, I have mine 6 clicks in all round out of 16 an its a perfect balance an I get no complaints about ride from any passengers, they soak up uneven ground very well with no drama! Cannockwolf Posted June 27, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 As this is my hobby/project I am looking to take it further, but I don't want to ruin the ride, looking to do some track days for a bit of fun also, definitely not going to slam it lol but If I can improve handling keeping the ride the same it would be something I'd like to look at in the future of sure, My next upgrade is the lsd then the subframe reinforcement, next year ill probably upgrade the SC to the TS2+ , then there's decating the headers and so on lol Rebel 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Koni's are a very respected brand and from my days on the VAG scene one of most common suspension upgrades was Koni dampers with Eibach springs. For me it would ruin my enjoyment of the new lovely extra power... For example if people are saying they are 'good for the money' I read that as there are better alternatives but people are too tight to spend the cash to get real quality, so these 'will do'.
