Cannockwolf
Well I will be having the car serviced soon and needed to get a replacement air filter for the performance intake. Cotswold can't get them as the intakes are an American only product, doesn't it all come from Germany anyway???? So after some digging around I came to the conclusion I had to get them from the States. The items you ordered: 2 Air filter element . BMW PERFORMANCE 13720431649 $70.02 Shipping & Handling (UK) $ 65.00 Total $ 207.08 FECK LOL then there will be import duties too!!!
simonlpearce
f**k that, how often do you need to replace those?
Cannockwolf
they are just normal paper filters as far as im aware, shouldnt they be done every year?
simonlpearce
Yikes! Probably be cheaper to find a UK source that can custom make them. Doubt it would cost much if you can take an old one in for them to use as a template. But yes you probably want to change it once a year.
Cannockwolf
there was someone in the states that found an alternative filter that fit but I'd be back to square one with shipping and import duties. Can you get custom filters made??? who would do that?

simonlpearce
I would have thought so, speak to K&N UK or some other filter manufacturer. People must do it all the time i would have thought for show cars etc. Cannockwolf

Cannockwolf
Had a chat with the bodyworker today, he's having to extensively mod the inner arch to meet up with the outer arch, definately not as 'straight forward' as some make out on forums, but do-able. In the mean time to get my fix while not having the car I've had to do this wallpaper Edited June 28, 2014 by Cannockwolf Rebel, JimmyJames and Melv1958
