L333JSA
there's no way you'd get a 330d up to 350+ bhp. ....why not? momo
bungers
Ok, there probably is a way, much in the same way as you could with ours, but it's not a £250 remap & away you go like it is with the 335d.
L333JSA
No correct.....but then whats the purchase price difference between a E90 330d and an E90 335d? Once I've got mine how I want it I think I might put a 316i badge on mine so to p*ss people off even more! lol Blair and momo
momo
Isn't the only difference between the later 330d and 335d just the inlet, turbo, ECU mapping and thats about it? The earlier 535d had about 275bhp IIRC. The later X35d's had about 285bhp. With an extra turbo they only got ~45bhp? That's not much!! Ok if you do the same level of tuning to both models the 335d might end up with more power but I heard the reason most companies don't tune them to over 350bhp is because if the gearbox from pretty much just a remap. From the 330d you could replace the turbo, FMIC, maybe injectors, de-dpf and decat/exhaust, I think you could get the 330d up to 350bhp.. Apparently with similar mods (although this is well disputed) someone from Ireland who had tuned a E46 330d with similar upgrades and live remap to 320bhp. This is the car:
Daz 330 Cs
I remember that white coupe on here and the dude who "claimed" it had 320hp. We never saw any proof of such claims momo
Daz 330 Cs
E92s are a bit boring to drive - I prefer the characteristics of the e46, was glad to sell mine & relive myself of the debt. Looks Lovley though. Stick with yours! Have you driven a 335d ? I've been in one and they're very far from boring

Daz 330 Cs
No, but I have owned an e92 325i & engines aside, they are a bit bland as are most new cars/bm's Yes I know you had a 325, but it's worlds apart from a 335d. Agreed on the interiors though, they're a bit pap.
bungers
Get it back from the body shop and can honestly say they've done a cracking job, especially sorting the bumper. Will get clean pics up once waxed.

bungers
That's true, I'm not happy with the fitment of it but not sure how much adjustment is available. I'll see if I can get it shifted myself.
L333JSA
I agree with the rest - paintwork looks amazing.....exhaust proper spoils it I'm afraid. Wasnt your old exhaust cut to fit the Eisennman on? Maybe it wasnt cut short enough?
bungers
Yeah the original 1 piece exhaust was cut to fit the Eisenmann, I'm sure something can be done, I was just glad to get it on originally but it does bug me. bungers
Cheers pal, I like it! I've got a wing mirror project that I'm currently collecting parts for. Basically m3 powerfold mirrors but using the facelift ribbon 'wiring'. Need a couple more bits, then I'll crack on.

bungers
I've got the rearview mirror & side repeaters fitted this evening, spent the rest of it dismantling my O/S mirror & a spare powerfold O/S mirror to see how they work & check the differences. Man the ribbons are fragile! Looks promising for the swap to M3 mirrors though.
