Trevor
Google it. To get the code to flash, you press a button other than the numbers. The menu button is in my head for some reason... You got the code for it?

Daz 330 Cs
So if its not allowing you to input any digits, something else is amiss. ...
mit
Usually the way these code systems work is that for each wrong code entered they make you wait another minute before you enter another one, so 10 wrong codes = 10 minute wait until you can enter a code. How many wrong codes did you enter? If you never even attempted a code, then the unit might be faulty. Dealer time...
Dsport
I've cleaned the contacts up in the removable panel and no joy, it says in the book it will let you enter 10 codes before it locks out But agree with Daz think its something more as its still not allowing me to even enter anything, Peeing me off now as new owner is ment to be collecting it next week,

It wouldn't let me enter anything so took the unit out and left it in the house over night then refitted it next morning, it let me enter codes so I put the one in the book in didn't work then tried the one wrote in marker but couldn't make out the 2nd digit, so that was wrong tried a 3rd code and that didn't work ether, so went online and found the right code but it won't let me try again, I took the radio last light again and refitted it this morning , but still won't let me enter anything, It has a 3 on the screen so according to the book I can have 10 attempts

Trevor
More information has helped. Now you mention wrong attempts it helps. The period between attempts increases with each attempt. You need to leave the radio fitted and turned on. Ignition stage one and radio on. Been over 10 years since I worked at Ford and dealt with this regularly. 30 mins lock out sounds right from memory after 3 wrong goes. When the time has elapsed, the digits will be flashing if I remember right. It will then allow you another go.
