piper1st Posted June 5, 2013 Report Share Posted June 5, 2013 Hi, I have been lurking around the forum for info following the purchase of my first BMW a month ago and really enjoying my stay, so I signed up a few weeks ago, and thought I'd introduce myself. I’ve had a few performance cars in the past such as Volvo 480 turbo, Toyota Celica gt-four, VW golf V6 4Motion, but upon becoming a dad 6 months ago, suddenly I find myself getting excited about boot space and ISOFIX etc. So I bought a 2003 E46 BMW 330i SE Touring … (see photo attached) So far, I am absolutely loving it!! It is all the wee extra's, like factory bluetooth kit, stereo volume goes up and down depending on speed, Nav screen, split talegate, put the windows up/down with keyfob, BMW torch, BMW first aid kit (well out of date now), automatic lights/wipers/rear view mirror, etc! It’s the gadgets that make a car if you ask me! LoL! I was reading in the manual that you don't even need to change the battery in the keyfob, as it recharges itself through the ignition every trip! CLASS! It’s costing me money already tho! Some how managed to get a deep slash in the side wall of a rear tyre, so that was my first expense. It has staggered MV2’s on at 255/35/18 ... that’s a big welcome to RWD ownership! LoL! There is however a few things I would like to get: • a set of the front ‘sport’ seats (in matching black leather) (i miss feeling hugged) • i-pod connectivity • a solution to better sound (current setup has really poor bass?) • new floor mats • The TV working (need an expensive digital aerial now?) • Rear windows tinted to privacy glass spec I have already bought a second hand Intravee II, Alpine KCA 420i, AV input interface cable to help do something with ipod connectivity, but I’ve not found the time to find out how it all goes together yet.
