simonlpearce
Am in the process of fitting an Evo rear axle to my E36 328. All rear axle bushes will be powerflex black. Now it seems there are 2 choices when looking on ECP for prop shaft couplings which are as follows. Q-Drive : £29.94 cheap and cheerful but going on past experience i would expect it to fail in weeks. Lemforder : £79.80 which im sure would do the job no problem However the third option and one im considering is a Revshift Poly Flex Disc. Its basically an aluminium plate with poly inserts seen in below link. https://www.revshift.com/shop/bmw/e36.php Price for this would be £80ish plus shipping. Any thoughts/ideas on which to go for? mit
I'd be curious about the poly one but I reckon you'll get a lot of driveline shunt from it. But I say go for it!
Quiksilver_TR
I like the look of the Revshift alu/polu one. Like mit says you will probably get a bit more feedback from it but I think its worth it for how cool it looks.
simonlpearce
Will drop them a mail this afternoon and see how much shipping will be. If its going to cost more than £110-£120 total then i don't think it will be worth it. Have found a place that sell Meyle ones for £30 delivered so could get through 4 of them compared to 1 poly. Rich_D
Forget Q-Drive, they are cheap crap and don't last Lemforder make the BMW ones, so you know they are good quality The Revshift one would probably introduce more vibration & noise into the drivertrain, not an option I would go for personally, the donut is rubber for a reason... I went for a Meyle HD one, it's slightly beefed up over the original, German quality and cheaper than the Lemforder (£53 vs £79), I fitted it a couple of weeks ago and I'm happy with it. simonlpearce
Not fussed about noise or vibration really, it is for my road/track 328 so it can be as noisy as it likes. Like you say though when Meyle come in cheaper and still have 2yr warranty, its probably worth going down this route.
Rich_D
The Meyle one has certainly sharpened up my drivetrain and there is a LOT of torque from the 330d lump, for £30 it's a no-brainer IMO
