R2D2
Can anyone point me in the direction of some half decent tyres that have a similar tread to Toyo Tr-1s (below)? I used to get Falken FK452's as a compliment to them, but theyre not available any more and i dont like the tread on the replacement 453's. Like this: TIA :-)
simonlpearce
What about the Dunlop Sport Maxx, supposed to be a half decent tyre and has similar tread pattern. Out of interest why don't you just buy the T1R's? Or you could try the Federal 595 RSR or even the Toyo Proxes R1R. R2D2
R2D2
I can get the TR1's in 225/40/18's (which i will buy) but because my wheels are staggered i need a pair in 255/35/18's as well for the rears which i dont think you can get the TR1's in? simonlpearce
Ah ok so you have some tread snobbery going on, lol. Does it really matter if the front tread pattern doesn't match the rear? Surely if its a proven tyre then that's all that really matters.

simonlpearce
^^^ Same axle i can understand, as that's just plain daft and dangerous.
El Turko
T1R's have been discontinued. I had real trouble sourcing a rear pair last year. Eventually found a set, but killed them within 6 months. A great tyre, but just too damn soft. Gave up on matching tread patterns (T1S look boring in comparison - ran them on my summer wheels) and plumped for a set of Conti's at the back.
