momo
Yep! For the saloon you remove the side trim pieces to get to the rear piece. Nice and easy! Took me 15mins (working slowly) to replace my 2 last faulty sensors a few years ago. .Si.

Rh888
Is it just as simple on a facelift coupe? I have the same issue.
RedDevil
Coupes are differnet Depends if yours is se or sport.Se are at bottom of bumper easy to change but if its a Sport you need to remove the rear bumper to get them off and they are colour coded I have a duff one on my sport but am waiting till summer to sort it

There should be no need to remove the bumper on a saloon unless there's a wiring issue..

momo
Ah ok.. Be careful when you ask questions and get responses.. Always give as much info on the car as possible. Removing the bumper is the coupe, sport way of doing it as they're attached directly so in all likeliness an owner of that car is the one who told you to do that.. At least you figured it out for next time..
Rh888
Mine is the M sport coupe. Is there a 'nack' to changing the sensor without dropping the bumper??
Jim27
I need to do this too on my facelift M Sport coupe. Been avoiding it as it looks like a PITA for what should be a relatively simple task. Did BMW subcontract the PCD/MSport bumper design to Renault, by any chance...?
