Suf, I'm sorry to hear it was such a palava.

Such a stark contrast to my experience.

I was in and out of there within 2 hours and had a great experience.

But if they can't consistently do that, thats a bit useless

No worries Shabaz, Jason clearly knows his stuff, and at one stage was the place to go I think, the job itself I think it's sound, is the experience which was bad. He may be enjoying his reputation a bit too much now, they were showing off their new M5 which they have souped up quite a bit while I was there.

On a positive note, I started the car today and it said I had 275 miles left in the tank with 3/4 tank left, very poor fuel range and something I noticed after the Quantum map. I then drove up to Birmingham, I've got half a tank left, the car says I have 305 miles left, so it's possible Jasons remap has really improved this and is pretty good for mpg after all, as this had never happened before in this car while I've owned it, the max I actually got from a full tank was stood 420 miles, I'll be keeping an eye on these readings ......

I was always fearful of my first MOT with this car, mainly because the EGR delete may screw with my emissions and also the brake discs are really knackered. But, my luck was in and I passed. I've never had such a detailed report back before:

Have owned this car now for a year. It felt really good on the drive to Birmingham today. Hopefully most of the major mechanical woes are behind me ... gear box oil change planned for Jan, but for the rest of 2015 is all about making it look sweet ! Fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong and gets in the way ......

Replaced the headlight lenses today after a lot of advice from TriggerFish - Thanks Joe. I had tried to repair the lenses myself previously with a repair kit, but that was an epic fail - mainly because of my poor skills I guess!

Old and new lenses can be seen below:

Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later I was on the road at the same time as an idiot and we bumped each other, minor damage to my drivers side wheel arch now

Not a problem, and good stuff Suf! Not hard to replace at all really are they? Shame about the bump though, but at least it's only minor damage.

Did you find much of an improvement in light output? I found the cutoff to be much sharper/clearer afterwards.
