-Ad-
I really want to get some tyres on my new wheels this week and get rid of the mv2s to get some money back. My issue is I've just bought a house and spent so much money I can't afford to get what I'd really like which is Yokohama ad08 I'm looking at either 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 And on the rear 255/30/19 or 265/30/19 I can't really spend more than £400 so I've been looking all over at various sets of tyres and read mixed reviews and had mixed reviews from people. What are people's recommendations on this budget? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daz 330 Cs
You're going to need to up your budget for sure.
-Ad-
There are a few sets on camskill for that money but I'm assuming they aren't great.. The likes of the Nankang ns20 I looked at the uniroyal rainsport 3 but they were a little more at £480 delivered and I'm not sure I want something designed for wet driving mainly.. The falken 453 are the same price but my mate had the 452 and said they were worse than the budgets he got after. I'm totally stuck to be honest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daz 330 Cs
The Nankangs arn't too bad actually. Certainly one of the better budget brands. Falkens usually get good reviews too. Rebel
318E46
I went for budgets and got sunny tyres as they are good for stretching and paid £210 got four brand new ones. 225/35/19 front and 235/35/19 rear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-Ad-
I'm hearing mixed reviews a few people said about the nankangs cracking which is off putting but on the other hand there are good and bad reviews even on the best tyres. I was almost set on the cooper zeon cs sport they seemed a great price to performance ratio but I could only find the fronts on camskill Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trevor
I have Nankang NS2's in 18" flavour on mine. I highly rate them. I went on revommendation when I bought them. Very happy with them. Rebel and touringking
-Ad-
Do you drive fairly hard? They are supposed to be a budget sport tyre but I wasn't sure really I'm leaning towards trying them at £330 delivered for all 4 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited May 20, 2014 by -Ad-

Last year bought 4 or 5 sets and no problem at all.No cracking and I always use a bit of stretch. Cheap and 1 of the best budget tyres. -Ad-
Cheers lads I'm just gunna go for it. I was gunna go 255 on the rear but they don't have the ns2 sport in 255 and I'm not sure about 235 on a 9.5 so 235/35 on the 8.5 265/30 on the 9.5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daz 330 Cs
The 265 will look very wide on a 9.5J rim..... 245 is going to be better if you lower it anytime soon.
DEVIL 666
225/35 on the 8.5 255/30 on the 9.5 would be better and not a big stretch.
-Ad-
It's lowered already I was told the 265 was right for 9.5 oem mv2 are 9 on the rear and are 255? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

-Ad-
Hmm I guess that's not major stretch I could maybe go for those instead of the 265 So should I maybe get 225 on the 8.5? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trevor
Do you drive fairly hard? I've had a few good plays on these tyres and no issues. Grip is very good in the dry, I run out of talent before the tyres lose grip. They are spot on in the wet as well, you've got to provoke it deliberately for it to let go. Road noise isn't intrusive and if anything, with mileage they've got quieter. They have improved on all counts with use, as the miles have gone on they've just got better. Overall I'm very happy. My first choice tyre. I got a staggered set in 18" for £250, so not daft money either.
touringking
I agree with all this, Ive used kangs for the last 3yrs with no issues, well worth the cash
-Ad-
That's good enough for me lads! To be fair my car is just shy of 200hp so it's not in need of serious tyres I used to run t888r on my e30 because that was a different story I'm lead to believe they are illegal now anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

-Ad-
It's cool Daz I checked tyrestretch.com anyway they didn't have the exact size but there was a 245/40/19 which was close enough to get an idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cannockwolf
i run 265 cooper zeon 2xs on my 9.5 and i think they look just right i think they are roughly £400 supplied only and they are a good tyre in dry and wet. saying that ill probably get something like pilot cup 2's next time due to nearly doubling the power
-Ad-
I read quite a lot of really bad reviews about those :/ the cooper zeon cs sport were well reviewed and the 2xs weren't that's what put me off! Did you have any spacers fitted there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cannockwolf
no spacers mate, thats your VMR in that pic I dont race in them but ive never been concerned with the handling and always felt safe in the wet, had 2 sets now
