A mate who uses them a lot said i'd get a much better deal if i popped into the local shop which

is what i did, i told them i could buy genuine Hella here in the UK for £80 and the chap charged me

what i posted above.

I told him about the one on Amazon and he said he couldn't beat that price :)

I had a eBay special.. Touchwood its still fine a year later.. Had 12months warranty too.. Cant remeber the make but no issues.. The dodgy car dealer told me the warning light was the oil warming up and i fell for it

I prefer to not risk it on some ebay parts

Very poor sales approach from the car trader, i'd imagine he will lose out with the new consumer rights laws

that came into place last year, well lets hope so :)

OP i hope you don't mind me asking a question?

I have a 318 that needs a new oil level sensor.

where is the best place to purchase this at a good price that you guys could recommend?

I bought mine from Eurocarparts, a genuine Hella part

I wouldn't buy any car parts on ebay.  Most of them are fake and fail in half the time.

Sign up for  GSF's mailing list and every week they'll send you a code for 40-50% off parts.

Had a look on GSF's site and it doesn't say what make the sensor is, i'll sign up to get future discount codes though :)
