Samwise
Now guys first time on a forum so best introduce myself! I've had a few e46's but latest I've actually decided to do something with... Proud owner of a 2004 320Cd M-sport. I've used these forums for endless amount of research and the latest is the only reason I've joined, which is wheels and tyres, im a heavy vehicle mechanic so pretty good idea of things and do what i can myself but need to know what fits. However, there was lots of opinions on my choice, which is 18" 9.5J squared alloys, which i thought screw it and tried anyway. So just to let everyone know, im lowered ever so slightly on eibach springs, which aside from brakes is the only other thing I've touched it that area, and with stretched tyres 215/35R18 they fit with no issues what-so-ever. With room to spare.. I plan on pulling it over a pit soon to check what clearances i have for more rubber however in the next few weeks i plan to get bigger tyres 245's on back and trying 225's on the front and will try get back on here to let you all know how they fit...! P.s, if someone could let me know how i can post decent photos to show you that would be good!

Samwise
Thanks mate, well heres a link to a photo of 9.5J all round anyway(if I've done it right)... <a href="http://s1226.photobucket.com/user/samwisesgd/media/Mobile%20Uploads/Snapchat-1898319526857548879_zpsblca6aqc.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee414/samwisesgd/Mobile%20Uploads/Snapchat-1898319526857548879_zpsblca6aqc.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Snapchat-1898319526857548879_zpsblca6aqc.jpg"/></a>
Matt_330CI
I'd say if you had to stretch a set of 215's onto 9.5J rims you did have a very big problem. You should be on at least 255's if not 265's with those. My 9.5 style 369's have 275's on! (F25 X3 not E46) Also consider that by changing from staggered wheels/tyres to square you will promote oversteer more. Daz 330 Cs
I ran a 245/35 on a 9.5J rim for years. Only a very slight stretch with zero issues.
Samwise
Agreed, 215 is very stretched, but that's if you're used to standard fittment... In reality its not too bad. Ride quality and ride over bumps etc i barely feel a difference, trust me im not a fan if such a stretch but they hold pressure fine. However like i said, more rubber is on my list, 245 on the back for sure, then trial and error as to what will fit on the front. In regards to over steer, road holding is ten times better, feels solid. However you are right there is more over steer, but that will become very minor when I get more rubber on the ground at the back.
Matt_330CI
9.5 inches is 241.3mm They're stretched by 26.3mm I'd say that's a lot. Is it the offset causing an issue with arch clearance? I'd look at arch modification to make some wider rubber fit. I say this with experience, going from staggered to square tyres on a rwd car can catch you out. Watch yourself until you're used to it. Samwise
I know, like i said ive had a few e46's, pushed my luck many times unlike most i know what the cars doing when its doing it.. In regards to tyres its a lot i agree, but in comparison to what I've seen/how it sits on the rim it isn't that bad is my point, i wouldn't have it if it was unsafe its my daily at the end of the day. Offset is 40 so that isn't to bad, if not somewhat ideal considering however clearance to wheelarch is good, i haven't had chance to look yet but i believe clearance to strut/spring may be the main issue, but I'll check both full locks etc when i do get around to checking it. Rolling the front arches may be done just out of matter of cause. My point with all of this is, so far its not been a issue and its been easy, which most people thought it was a massive headache, hence reporting it. gaz-777
Welcome to the zone! As you say 225's should be ok on the front. Have you thought about a 235 on the rear? Also check this out if you haven't already http://www.willtheyfit.com/ You can play with tyre sizes and offsets to give you an idea of fitment. momo
That's WAY too stretched for that height!! For that wheel/stretch combo you'll need coilovers and to go much lower (esp. at the front) to make it look good.. All in my personal opinion of course.. If you like it - that's all that matters! Daz 330 Cs
The stretch isn't what's making it look ridiculous, it's the lack of sidewall. More tyre is needed. There's loads of room.
gaz-777
Only just seen the picture, yeah more sidewall needed. Needs at least 40 profile, doesn't look right to me. If it were to be lowered more on coilovers with that fitment, you would be bottoming out everywhere. Again just my opinion.
Samwise
Steady on lads all at once! 😂 i know there too stretched but i had the tyres spare and new they'd fit, the difficulty comes with clearance when in lock hence me trying different tyres as and when I can! I used will they fit before i fitted them so i had an idea anyway, and its slightly lower on eibach springs but it struggles over speedbumps as it is... I fully agree, with such little tyre it looks idiotic, but that's why i tried them tyres first so i knew where my start point was, especially with 9.5j, but again, they look stupid so stretched! Had it on a pit at work yesterday when doing brakes etc, loads and loads of clearance, so im going to try 225/40 on front first, see what its like then potentially move onto 235, very optimistic but hopefully it will help others on here! On a side note, tempted by HSD's and to say f**k it to ground clearance 😂 cheers for feedback though lads!

Samwise
To be fair lads my intent was to inform whoever wanted to know that 9.5J squared fit, because i couldn't find a clear answer in the forums 😂 Uploading pictures though, still clueless!
