Foe Posted October 11, 2016 Report Share Posted October 11, 2016 Noticed this very little amount of smoke/vapour coming out of the oil filler when I removed the cap. The reason was I noticed a smell of oil in the cabin, from the vents. A few searches later and it looks like like a possible gasket failure on the valve cover or possibly the rocker cover? Any way my question is could the leak coming out of the oil filler neck be due to a blocked breather pipe, and if so where? Trevor Posted October 11, 2016 Report Share Posted October 11, 2016 Ccv should be sucking vapour out of the valve cover area. That's its job. Sounds like it's failing. Take of ya oil cap and put a plastic bag over the hole. The bag should be gently sucked at by the vacuum created by the ccv. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I take it if it's not sucking then replace the whole CCV with a replacement kit? If so are these kits better from the dealer or ECParts etc. Thanks for the reply.
