I'm happy to return to standard for a while (I like the look,cost and steering wheel functions) My car has the 6 CD changer in the boot , the questions is do I buy an e46 business CD or tape unit? ian332isport Posted January 5, 2017 Report Share Posted January 5, 2017 CD or Tape should both work the same with the CD Changer. Probably little point fitting a tape unit these days though. TriggerFish Posted January 5, 2017 Report Share Posted January 5, 2017 And if you get the right CD unit, you can keep the CD changer and have 3.5mm aux in (cables on eBay for £3-5). Lots of aux-ins replace the CD changer on earlier units. From memory it's meant to be a post Sept-02 build on the HU, but there is a list of definitive model numbers/versions somewhere.
