dunk1
Good to see it's coming down. It peaked in my area at around 201p for Super plus 97 RON and is now at 168p Hope it keeps dropping but we have a long way to go to get to last years price when it was 145p in August momo
momo
Something tells me it'll bottom out at around £1.40p, I don't think we'll ever get back to £1.20p (for diesel).

I only do around 3/4k miles a year so it's OK. The kids love the space and i'm enjoying the extra comfort. Yep, OPEC can't miss a chance at keeping profit levels at an all time high. Fuel prices will never come back down - this is the new norm. Edited October 7, 2022 by momo

I've got the 3.0ltr single-turbo diesel! Haha. My driving is mainly in peak time stop-start traffic and usually short journeys which is why it's so bad. On a motorway run i'll get over 500miles to a tank. I'm going to get it remapped at some point so I expect that to help. I've got the 6-sp Auto which is known to "hold" gears too long. Engine map and gearbox map should help. Don't get me started on the monopoly that is OPEC. In the 2008 crash oil went up to almost $180 a barrel. Diesel was £1.32. It's profiteering at its worst. momo
Same.. Diesel here is back to £1.79p - 10p less than the peak. I think the Saudi's decided to cut oil production causing prices to go back up. That's what it's about - keeping those profits high. It doesn't suit them at all to allow prices to come back to the £1.20/1.40p they were... These are the prices we'll have from now on. Same goes for gas/electric. There's no reason for the prices to come back down now they know most people can afford to pay them. dunk1
dunk1
Yes sadly i agree with you. Even though i've cut back on home use, not put the heating on yet etc i noticed the smart meter buy 10am was double what it was the previous day momo

momo
Diesel is back to the peak of 1.90 here.. It'll hover there for a while before breaking £2 at some point I think. Maybe closer towards December it'll cross £
