Matt_330CI
I quite like having the fuel computer, first time a car I've had has had one. I tend to keep an eye on what I'm using and now I don't have to think too much. The range function is the best bit. Gotta say, and it goes against everything you guys have said, the xenons are doing nothing for me. I find it quite funny at hoe many times on coming cars with them over the years have blinded me with the sodding things but now I'm in the driver seat it seems a waste. simonlpearce
Lol if i had a chavsport id have put it up first, but yeah that MPG things is pointless! Do you reckon a retrofit is possible for the oil temp?
Jorge-
Google and the states say no Requires a lot of work as when you fit M3 dials it changes that to work like the MPG needle, so unless you can reprogram it and you might have to fit the sensor also, its a lot of hard and impossible work. Aidan316i
X2 on the electric seats those bitches are heavy as hell. The Irony is delicious! I've SFA in the 316i, but agree about the MPG dial, theres no way i'm doing 50mpg!
Matt_330CI
The Irony is delicious! I've SFA in the 316i, but agree about the MPG dial, theres no way i'm doing 50mpg! I've actually found that if you reset the computer while (for example on restricted motorways) doing 45mph in 5th (6th if you have one) the computer will show pretty much the same as the silly needle guage. I got mine to sit around 40mpg the other day. The digital computer tells you your average MPG since you last reset it. So if you did 100 miles - 50 of which were urban (say 18mpg) and 50 were extra urban (say 30mpg) it would say 24mpg. I'd imagine it could do 50mpg. ......... ......... ....... if you were coasting. Which is the only time that guage goes that far up for me.
simonlpearce
I dont doubt that the needle is accurate, more so that its pointless because as soon as you give any throttle it jumps all over the place and is impossible to read! suhail97
I don't know about the saloon or coupe, but in the touring the pedals are way offset. The clutch pedal is pretty much in line with the centre of the steering wheel
Al Sithee
I don't know about the saloon or coupe, but in the touring the pedals are way offset. The clutch pedal is pretty much in line with the centre of the steering wheel YES! I've got to say that this annoys me immensely already and I've only just bought my Coupe! I'm coming from a Vaux and the pedals are just 'in the right place' for your feet, but in the Coupe the clutch pedal is where the brake pedal is on the Vaux, so when I go to change gear I end up stamping on the foot rest at the side of the clutch. I'll probably get used to it over time but it feels really horrible and I haven't managed to do one single smooth gear change yet. Anyone else noticed this or is it just me and Suhail? scrimja
When I initially went from my old car to the Bimmer I noticed how offset the pedals were, now I don't at all, even though I spend 99% of my driving time in a Corsa these days Atleast the 318 gas a comfortably place clutch. The angle on the Corsa leads to calf cramp constantly. If anyone is falling out of love with their BMW, jump in a s*** car for a while. By the time you get back to your BMW you'll be madly in love again. I fall in love each and every weekend these days lol.

simonlpearce
Maybe BMW put the pedals in the correct place and its all the other car manufacturers that got it wrong
Matt_330CI
I went from a Vauxhall Astra (mk3 - not a car I chose to own) to the E46 and felt no different. Pehaps because I drive 3 different cars quite regularly, things like that make less of an impression on me these days? I can jump in just about anything now and feel quite at home. Although some new Fords have hideously over assisted brakes.
Daz 330 Cs
Although some new Fords have hideously over assisted brakes. The first time i drove a Megane ( Oddly shaped rear ) i nearly went through the windscreen !
Matt_330CI
I did that in a mk1 Megane Convertible so you're not alone! I don't understand why any one would think massively assisted brakes are a good thing, I found it down right dangerous. If you're going at slow speeds you slam to a dead stop with only the slightest of touches, what if some one is sitting too close to your rear? I was driving a brand new Kuga on the M25 at about 75mph and had to slow to come off for my junction, one small touch and I was doing about 50mph - again, what if some ones a bit too close and they dont have such sharp brakes? Anyway, gone well off topic here as our cars dont have over assisted brakes lol. Erm something I could live without.... Ooooh I know, the //M badges on my seats - they dig in my back. Matt_330CI
I cant figure out why my 330 has M badges on the seats but none of the M3's I looked at did lol? Has any one elses 330 Sport got M badges on the seats? I did think about getting them out but despite the feel, they look kinda cool and I was worried about damaging the stitching on the seat and leaving marks. Daz 330 Cs
Someone has probably put them there before you bought the car . Do they go through the leather ? Or just stick on ?
