Could be the end of a relationship :/ I met my ex a few months ago for a coffee and my girlfriend thinks I cheated, she won't believe me that nothing happened, it really was just a catch up and a coffee. Last night she asked if I'd text her at all since and I said no. I have but only the odd thing and nothing much, but I know fr a facts she'd have hated it and flipped out, so I lied. BIG mistake, as she'd gone through my phone and read the messages. Now it's not a problem as there was nothing said wrong, but the fact I lied is a problem, now she will never believe me that nothing happened in the first place! I've always said a relationship can't work without trust and she has never trusted me and the way she is pushed me to lie about stupid things. Also, if she's that jealous about you having coffee with an ex I think she's got an awful lot of growing up to do. You guys aren't 16, it's meant to be an adult relationship. We all have ex's and some of them atleast won't hate us so maintaining a friendship is a good thing. I always tell my missus the truth. Always. Point out you've done nothing and the fact you knew she's see the worst in anything you did/do is part of this issue. I'm guessing an ex has at some point, seriously dented her trust in people. Shouldn't be your job to repair that. Be clear you have not, would not, and would not EVER cheat on her. If she can't accept that, then at some point, either now, or in the future you're going to walk because you'll get sick of this crap. Been there/done that btw. Not fun. Yes they may moan, but it's a lot easier than them finding out another way and then moaning about that and the fact you lied. I don't think all hope is lost though. Trust is something that's earnt. Normally I'd say the red angels look sh*t but here they make the car look like its powered by Satan! The M badge on the grille is woeful though. Truly.
