analbeard
It's got me thinking about how to clean the car, and there is NO way i'm taking it anywhere near a Polish wash. Started looking into waterless washing, has anyone else given it a try? I've got the bits but don't need to clean the car yet, just wondering if people have had any experiences with it? DaveGT
Short term plan: attach the presure washer to the water butt to rinse before and after washing, other than that carry on as normal! Just hope we get enough rain to keep the water butt topped up Edited April 4, 2012 by DaveGT
clubsport_chris
Waterless washing is a great way to do it. Plenty of threads on detailing world with good results. Optimum no rinse seemed a good one to use last time i looked into it.

Longun
I thinking of using one of these: http://www.savewater...hand-water-pump Will do the job for now and where possible I'll fill it from a water butt. Use the local jet wash first but only the spray and not the brush to remove as much dirt as possible prior to cleaning as the pressure will be low. Although I can't find my water supplier on the list on here: http://www.hosepipeb...trictions-2012/ So I'm not sure if I'm in a ban area or not?!?!? If your Severn Trent like me, then we havent been banned yet and ST have also said that they dont plan any hosepipe bans for this year. I have also heard that ST may also be helping other areas out with water too.

I have used optimum no rinse an it's brilliant stuff I've not used optimum no rinse before, but that definitely seems like the best one according to the DW guys. El Turko
Ive used Proshine Spray and Shine and was really really impressed. Very very easy to use, and leaves a fantastic finish. I have not had the balls to use it on a properly dirty car yet. But in summer when its just a film of grease its perfect for me (I only drive my car at weekends). It was actually Matt330 and theJames that converted me. I’d have never tried it if it wasn’t for the thread that popped up on here this time last year. mit
Don't know why you lot are all so scared of the polish wash... As if no previous owner of your cars ever used one?
Longun
Because it strips quite a lot of the protection off and leaves dark cars looking dull after a few days.

PeterH
The Asian car wash near me is awesome! When we went to new forest the one there was so crap! I'm still going to be using my pressure washer, it's not exactly a hose... And with all the dilema gone on in my street this week, someone using a hose is the lease of the rossers worries! simonlpearce
I'm gonna use a bucket...... Exactly this, just because you cant use a hose it doesnt stop you using a bucket which you would most likely need even if you were using a hose. Don't know why you lot are all so scared of the polish wash... As if no previous owner of your cars ever used one? This too, my local polish have a washing machine on site and cycle all of the cleaning rags. They also use only AG products so the car comes out spotless, well worth £6 once every 2 weeks!
