Nimraynn
Big thanks to mit who very kindly sorted me out a set of DEPO smoked indicators from the US. Met up with him this morning as he was passing my way and picked them up. Top guy And as usual, I didn't hang around fitting them. I had the clears before: And then fitted the smoked: Very happy with them Next up, I've got a set of adjustable drop links on order to get the coilovers sorted once and for all. Ordered them yesterday, they were sent out same day but hadn't arrived today so probably Monday. Once they've been fitted, got a few maintenance bits to sort out. Needs a service, tax is due, the front arches are rusting and theres some stone chipping on the passenger side wing... so need to get that sorted. Spoken to a mate who works in a bodyshop over Dartford way and he's given me a decent price to get the wings completely repaired and resprayed. Just need to make sure I've got the money and get it done. It's not too bad at the moment, but I don't want to leave it until it is bad. Guest Gazb
Liking it mate;) I would de-chrome the window surrounds now you have black grills (however your not me lol)
Nimraynn
Cheers. Yeah, they're CCFLs. I plan to black the chrome round the windows, just not worked out best way to do it. I want to get a full respray as its not in the best nick so I may just ask them to paint them while its in. I've got a mate that works in a body shop so I'm sure he'll sort me out. Nimraynn
Had the car on the rolling road at AmD Tuning in Thurrock, Essex today as part of a rolling road day I orgniased for another club. Very happy with the result. The engine is completely standard and it rolled 182.8BHP with 175lb/ft torque... Michael Lam
Michael Lam
That is a good figure considering the 323ci was only rated for 170BHP standard Have you serviced it and Terracleaned it yet? B0B
Nimraynn
Yeah, I'm well happy with the figure I was expecting no more than 170, but due to the answer to your next question, I was expecting less. No, I haven't had it serviced & terracleaned yet. The MOT is due, I just need to give the car a quick once over one night this week and I'll get it booked in for the MOT. If it passes with no issues, then I'll be getting it serviced straight away. If it needs any work, then it'll need to wait for the next pay day to get the service done But after the MOT, servicing is my first priority Michael Lam
B0B
They are good figures. How do you know for sure that it hasn't had a remap though
Nimraynn
They are good figures. How do you know for sure that it hasn't had a remap though I don't, but the previous owner was a mates brother who owned it since September 2000 and he didn't do anything to it throughout his own ownership... So I'm pretty certain it's standard, unless the person who owned it for the first 6 months from new tweaked it. SamN
Looks good! Surprised at the rolling road figures though, are you sure they didn't fudge it slightly?

Then again I am going to refurb my vanos and see if thats what is making it feel a bit sluggish in comparison.
Nimraynn
Today, I went at it on the brake calipers. I know not everyone likes coloured calipers on standard brakes, but I like them I just need to get some wheels that don't have so much "face" so you can see them a little bit more
xvfy
just read your thread, looks good, shame you have some rust on your arch :/
Nimraynn
Cheers It is a shame, but I'll be getting it sorted soon enough. I've got a mate that works in a bodyshop who said he can sort me out so I'm just waiting for a time where I have the money and also do without the car for a little while so I can actually take it in. Nimraynn
Pic whore warning So I've wanted new wheels ever since I actually got the car. While there is nothing actually wrong with the style 44's, I prefer wheels with a bit less "face" to them. More thin spokes, a little bit more going on and can see more of whats going on behind... I have spent probably the best part of 3 months trying to actually decide what set I wanted and changed my mind on at least a weekly basis... On Friday, I finally took the plunge and bought a set. I know they've been done to death, but I went for a set of 18" CSL reps as I think they're one of the nicest wheels that suit the E46. They are 8J ET35 front and 9J ET40 rear. They arrived yesterday: Now, they're the first wheels I've ever bought, so I don't know if this is the norm, but I was really impressed with how well packaged they were! And unpacked Bought a set of good condition part worn 225/40/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE050's with decent tread on them from a mate, and then stumbled across a set of 255/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE040's with the same sort of tread on another forum. The full set, £100 So somehow managed to fit all 4 wheels and all 4 tyres in the boot and on the back seat and took them into my local garage this morning. By 10am, they called me saying all done and ready to collect. I might as well have just stayed there but they said they might not be able to fit them in until afternoon When I got them home, I was going to give them a coat of Chemical Guys Wheel Guard before fitting them to give them a bit of protection... but as they'd picked up a bit of dust and glue residue, gave them a quick clean up with a bucket of Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II and a microfibre noodle wheel brush: When I rinsed all that off though, I was really surprised to see how well they were beading! Looks like they come with some decent protection from the factory, so I didn't bother putting any CGWG on them just yet One down, three to go And all four fitted Also, as you'll probably notice, I've finally got around to (almost) wrapping the weather trims in gloss black as I don't like the chrome. I say almost because removing the big top piece and wrapping the top piece were both such a pain in the arse that it took me 2-3 hours to do all of that side and it was a fairly warm day so by the time I'd finished it, I really couldn't be bothered to do the other side That was on Sunday. I haven't done the drivers side yet as the weather has been... questionable. I was at work Monday, it rained yesterday. I've been doing the wheels today and the sky is looking quite overcast like it might rain... so I don't want to risk taking the drivers side off for it to start raining soon after... Tomorrow maybe The_Judge_ and mit

Nimraynn
Cheers guys Like the look overall but not the mahoooooosive "in yo face foo" sticker on the windscreen.. Whats all that about? It says "LowerClass". I've had one on there since I fitted the coilovers, but I forgot to specify a colour so they sent me black. I put it on and it was very subtle but I liked it... then after a while I decided I didn't like subtle but still liked the sticker. Got a bit of a blue & yellow theme going on (Will have a few other subtle yellow bits soon if I can get them made up how I want them) so I decided to go yellow... only when it turned up, it was much brighter yellow than I expected It's growing on me though, I kinda like it, but I'll see. Don't know if it'll stay or not yet
