What Have You Done To Your Car Today? Volume 2

Recommended Posts

Was only a trial while my new rubber was being fitted, was a wheel waiting for collection at my mates place so whacked it on.

Needs bigger profile and lowering a touch, and that's a front wheel lol

Would love a set thou, really update the car

oops lol, try it out mate, gives a different look. i agree with the modern look too. i was tempted to get the 313 reps , and get them on mine, that wa like last year. once its lowered it should pull it off. :)

Topped up the screen wash. Aquired it for free so doesn't add to the £3 maintainence bill for this year.

I done that today... And washed it

Ok... Replace I with I got someone to...

New front discs and pads fitted.........lets see if it fixes the brake judder / wheel wobble.

Going for test drive, place your bets!

If I was a betting man I'd say you'll have the same problem in 3 weeks time, hopefully you'll prove me wrong

Well, to be honest, i don't know what to think.........

I only did 20 miles, up and down the motorway. Judder is definitely less than before, but completely gone? I don't think so.

I've still got a pair of rear calipers to do, but don't think thats going to have any real effect.

Thing is, if my local garage, and the local Indy either can't find the problem or 99.9% certain its the brake discs........where to turn next?

Fitted LHS rear fog/reverse light assembly, lubricated all the metalwork on the vert roof, did the exterior handle adjust.

Bought a fubar OEM CD player off the bay for next to nothing, diagnosed fault to a worn cog on the laser pinion drive. Looks like the unit is in a load of front loading car cd units so replacement shouldn't be an issue.

Got a polish from the Polish.

Filled it with a tank of V Power

Beer time now me thinks

Wife's car done looking very nice all valeted £25, asked about mine getting detailed but he said doesn't really need it as all front new and back fairly new, he said looks good now as it is (obviously not including the dented rear side) but he could do a clay bar and machine polish £40, think that'll be getting done if its fixed.

No longer

Snow foamed (x2) and washed. Cleaned the engine bay.

Stripped out the N/S window regulator mechanism by cutting the wires as the whole thing seized. Now waiting for new one to arrive

Replaced 12V 10W boot interior light.

This weekend - change over the steering wheel with my one from the 320D - replace Andrive with Dynavin.
