The inevitable iPhone 5s/c thread

I think you're the only person who doesn't call it a flash, Gaz. And I think the only reason you're not calling it a flash is to be pedantic for the sake of being a pedant, and also not to contradict your previous post :P

ive had a iphone 4 for work fior the past two years now and i love it but unfortunatly it his having problems ...

getting slower, lock button isnt working, speaker only works through headphones etc but dont wanna get rid.

work wont get me another so the have bought me a samsung s3 mini which i havent taken out the box yet as i dont want to lose my iphone :( and they seem crap without the apps/tunes etc

id be happy with another 4

Take it to the apple store and see what they say, they may replace it on the spot, you have nothing to lose ;)

Even so a out of warranty replacement is only £115 I think for a iPhone 4

I'm just biding my time waiting for one of the big manufactures to announce they have developed a battery that can actual last a full day. I don't want a better camera, bigger screen etc. I just want a better battery!

IIRC the HTC One has a 2250mAh battery, I also have a piggy back pack case with another 3800mAh to strap into it when a charger is not handy, more than enough for a day.

The samsungs and other models you can swap out batteries as well which you can't with the iPhone sadly.

That's true, if you could swap the iPhone battery that would be a solution but they don't make it easy

I have to say that case I have for mine with the 3800mAh battery built in is a very sweet sollution if you know you have a heavy phone day ahead of you, doesn't detract from the phone that much either, takes about 1 second to put it into the case or remove it as well.

EDIT:

I just noticed they do a similar product for the iPhone it seems, bonus all round :)

My Note 2 had a 3100m/a and lasted all day no problem with a good bit of use, although everyone's idea of "good use" will differ.

My work note 2 last 3 days unless you use it then I'm lucky to get 10 hours from it.

Back on topic has anyone done the sums what's the best way to get a 5S outright & giffgaff etc sim or contract? Is 4g even available on Payg??

Just quickly, I bought one of these a while back for a fiver delivered. Most useful and will charge from 10% to Full in around an hour.

And these are a good buy too if you find yourself low on battery with no chargers etc. 12000m/a for around £20. Good for umpteen full charges

Yet another con product from Apple. Latest updates are naff from what i here. Ill stick with my S4 :)

By 'latest updates' do you mean the hardware or the software?

The 5C is a bit naff, as it's just a 5 in a coloured frock, but the 5S is a nice bit of kit, as for iOS7 I updated last night and I like it, definitely a more Android like feel to it.

Apple have pissed me off with their ordering system for the 5S; in previous years I have had the latest phone delivered to my door on the day of release, now I've had to wait until sometime in October because I didn't want to camp outside one of their shops FFS.

No camping needed here. I walked into Carphonewarehouse in Meadowhall (huge shopping centre), at 9am-ish and it was empty! I was the first customer of the day, and nobody else came into the shop whilst I was there. (half hour) I expected a mad rush but nope. I walked past the Apple shop on the way, and there was about a dozen people milling about.

From what I've heard, apart from the flagship stores they are pretty easily available. I have half a mind to get one but don't feel an urgent need to splurge out £700. That's better used going towards my mortgage!
