EDIT: Just saw my post from last October. No movement yet, though the passenger side is slowly getting worse. Really need to get around to fixing that side too... Nimraynn Posted April 14, 2015 Report Share Posted April 14, 2015 I tried a few glues, hadn't thought about using silicone sealant, but after a few crap glues failed, I've started using this stuff which seems to stick like nothing else: I stuck a few bits up last year with it and they survived summer and winter no problems. One thing I do know is that the secret of successful rubber work ( stop sniggering at the back) is cleaning the surfaces before applying the glue. Have used celley or acetone on other stuff before. Volandok Posted July 12, 2015 Report Share Posted July 12, 2015 While installing my p3 gauge the front of the plastic interior floor trim that runs along the door opening popped up. I tried just pushing it back no luck. Do I need to pull the whole strip up and pull the clips out and then put the clips back in the trim to get it to clip in? R11CH Posted January 5, 2016 Report Share Posted January 5, 2016 I have replaced that whole trim on another Bmw before and i used impact adhesive in a tube and plenty of masking tape to hold and strap the trim in place until it was set, (Would require leaving the window open for the masking tape) a couple years on and its still in place.
