Brad smith
So done a job I always do when I get a new car and with the weather being so nice thought yesterday was the perfect day. Reprinting the callipers. Nothing worse than seeing rusty callipers went with silver this time normally go black but I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. Really with it had a BBK on, maybe for the future. Anyway few pics, wheels desperately need returbing or swapping for csls. Cleaned behind them and sealed them anyway. Also I'm struggling to decide what steering wheel, either alcantara or leather with perforated sides ? Thinking of getting a csl diffuser to. Gives that bit more to the rear I feel. Thanks. bennno2005
I don't like the perforated sides myself, they don't match anything else on the car. This is mine, just went for the OEM look but slightly thicker and I love it.
Brad smith
Right next questions Csl diffuser ? Refurb original wheels/ csls ?
bennno2005
CSL's or OEM 18's. The optional 19's are f*kin hideous.
Brad smith
Thinking csls. Just can't beat them.

Brad smith
Thanks mate. Have a few things I like to get sorted on any car and I'm slowly ticking them off. I'd like a csl rep intake and as for exhaust I really enjoy the rasp of the current one just think Euro tips. Just missing induction noise. That's why I want one for this would sound incredible. But it's a bit further down my list.
DJ Syxx
CSL wheels are common and do nothing for me. There are far better wheel choices out there but if its a case of refurbing your OEM 19's or CSL wheels, i'd stick with the OEM's.
Brad smith
So big update... yes I've got with what everyone else usually does. Had the csls on my 330 and I loved them, and now I could get the deeper concave on the read I found myself wanting the csls back. I love how they look on the car !! Also when having the tyres swapped over they told me the spring on the back had snapped, luckily I was given one with the car but was told it didn't need replacing as it was okay. But anyway changed it over, was harder to get in because I've usually swapped for Coilovers and with the spring being much smaller it's much easier lol. Also had new bolts and wheel badges, always wished I'd got new bolts previously m, so pleased I've done it as makes the wheels look much cleaner. Also managed to get my private registration put on after a few initial problems. Anyway, pictures..... gaz-777 and RMJ
he46trjoh
Those wheels look a heck of a lot nicer than the previous ones. Where did you get those wheel nuts from? Simple but a really nice touch. John

avalaugh
Very smart, I am a fan of the original 19's you had, but the CSL reps do look good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Brad smith
Could do with some help. After getting tyres swapped over and having them balanced I noticed the steering wheel was vibrating over 60mph. I've been back and had them re balanced but still the same. They've had to have quite a lot of weights on. There now saying it could be the tyres. What are people's thoughts before I spend on tyres the tyres have plenty of tread but are uneven on wear. The tyres were fine on my other alloys. So could it be tyres or are alloys buckled? I was told they were all straight ?
gaz-777
If the tyres were fine on your old wheels then I would be thinking it's the wheels. Did the seller seem genuine? Car looks fab by the way, love the seats in it.

Thanks mate loving it so far.
Brad smith
No more shaking steering wheel. Turns out it was the wheel balancing was done wrong by a certain garage twice ! Went to another one, one my dad uses (where I should've gone in the first place) the wheels were miles out even though I'd seen on the other machine it was Zero. The guy said they can't calibrate their machine. Good news is it's all sorted now. And treated her to a clean and wax. Next plans are steering wheel, diffuser and eibachs. gaz-777
Wow, once is bad enough but twice is shocking! Wonder how many other cars are running about with shaky steering lol. Goods news it's not the wheels and all is sorted mate.

Goods news it's not the wheels and all is sorted mate. This is what I was worried about. He was trying to tell me it might be the tyres, so glad I didn't buy two brand new tyres. Also when I went round there was this young kid who'd done the balancing when I spoke to him about it he was like 'na dunno if I remember doing them' I was like come on mate yes you do !! Got some money back from them and my wheels are all back to normal now, took it out on a drive and safe to say all is back to normal and can really enjoy it again. Thinking of a csl diffuser next, found one on eBay that cheap and looks a good fit. Will make the rear end look better.
Brad smith
Done one of my favourite mods to a bmw. Done it in everyone and it massively improves the interior but also the drive I find. Was 50/50 between this one and alcantara but glad I've gone for the usual perforated sides and nappa leather on top and a bit thicker. Looks and feels so much better. Added some carbon fibre paddles to go with the carbon fibre inside, only thing that bugs me is it's a different weave so may look to send it off to the guy I got the other bits from. But I much prefer them bigger and easier to shift. R11CH, RMJ and avalaugh
gaz-777
The steering wheel is such a great mod to do. Mines the same but without the tri-stitching. What diffuser you thinking of buying?

What diffuser you thinking of buying? Yeah I love the wheel. Improves everything. Csl replica, its full carbon at the minute but shall be getting a bit painted then leave middle bit around the exhaust in carbon.
Brad smith
So csl diffuser fitted. Great for £130, going to get the outside painted shortly but for now fitted it to see what fit was like and it's not too bad. I'm happy with it anyway. Euro tips and eibachs should be purchased soon.
