dunk1
Had a problem a couple of days ago, I've not driven the 330 in the dark for months and noticed the lights were dire the other night when I was collecting a takeaway, both dip beams were lighting up but the output was non existent. Luckily they both just needed adjusting which my mate did on his MOT ramp set up. Whilst I contemplated what was up with them I was very surprised with the price my local BMW dealer gave me, both headlights inc bulbs £585 inc vat with a bit of discount That's for the halogen units Edited February 12, 2022 by dunk1
dunk1
Got a mate at his car bodyshp to flat and mop the headlights and they've come up quite well, cost me a couple of beers 😊
dunk1
As I have HID's on the dip beam is there anything I can do on the main beam to match up the colour without going HID, inc the sidelight
incredirog
OSRAM do a nice sidelight LED bulb which will match a bit better. For the full beam you’re a bit limited, you can stick a big LED in but they’re a bit hit or miss dunk1

incredirog
incandescent bulbs will never match the HiDs they’ll just be less yellow in my experience. (but technology may have moved forward since I last looked) Edited February 14, 2022 by incredirog dunk1

momo
I have these in blue as my sidelights. I've had them in for many-a-year now (since 2013!!!) with no issues. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006C0B16Y I have OEM Xenons so they just about match.. I think for Halogens something like this would remove the "yellow" from the light: https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-osram-cool-blue-intense-next-gen-halogen-bulbs-pair.html They wouldn't appear blue, it'd just clean up the yellow from the light if that makes sense? dunk1
dunk1
Bulbs ordered Osram cool blue 4000k for the side lights and Philips White vision 4200k for the mains Also looking at replacing the front air duct as mines broken, £61.24 inc vat on BMW's online catalogue. momo
Which air duct? The duct that sits at the top behind the grille - the air intake for the engine? Or the brake duct? I've never done the brake duct but here's a quick guide (lower down): https://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/BMW-3-Series-E46/38-BRAKES-Replacing_Your_Brake_Ducts/38-BRAKES-Replacing_Your_Brake_Ducts.htm
dunk1
Sits behind the kidney grills and goes down to the bottom of the bumper I doubt you'd get it out without the bumper coming off but that should be easy enough

dunk1
Fitted the bulbs yesterday and The Philips White vision 4200k H7 pack I bought off Ebay came with two matching side light bulbs so I used those instead of the Osram side lights A lot whiter than stock for sure so I'm happy with the result momo and incredirog
