My 330cd:- "conversion"

Recommended Posts

Hi ,

Thought id put pics up of my 330cd (finally) Its on a 55 plate, brought it cat-d, repaired by my uncle with help from myself.

I was looking for a M3 but insurance was a tad too much (due to me being 21) , im not saying insurance is cheap on a 330cd but is alot more affordable.

We decided to style it on the M3 as i wanted it to be different.

I wanted to keep the facelift headlights and modify the M3 wings to fit, but ran into trouble when fitting the M3 bonnet.

All parts used are genuine M3.

The project was on the road about 3 months ago, but its still not 100% complete:- Gotta get the wing mirrors put on, exhaust rebuild and lower the front.

Alot of time and effort went into this project, i hope you enjoy the pictures and any feedback is welcomed.

Progress pics are available on my facebook, just add me :- Jagdeep Hayer

Thanks for looking

Can't say I am a fan of badging up a car. Well not literally badging it up, but if you look at it, you think of an M3, not a diesel.

Looks like you did a good repair job though!

reckon you've got yourself a bit of a bargain there. Damage doesn't look too bad and the car looks great now, especially with those wheels.

Major bargain mate, were going to get the LM style rims first but feel in love with these, especially with 275 rears

Looking good! Can't believe that's a 330Cd! As above, not usually a fan of bagding up or replicas but gotta admit - this one is spot on! You even got the rear wheel arches looking like proper M3 ones..

Did you have to weld on proper M3 arches for the rear? The main thing is that you enjoy it mate so enjoy!

M3 arches were a bit of a pain as the cut that we had was not the whole side. Check the progress pics at on facebook and see how it was all done

Looks ace buddy! Love the E46 coupe in that colour B)

Looking at getting my wheels done soon and the colour of your CSL's in well trick. What colour are they? Where did you get it done, and if you don't mind me asking how much to get resprayed?

The wheels are in shadow chrome and were done by www.PrestigeWheelCentre.co.uk .

Respray was free as was done by my uncle.

Fantastic job! Personally I'd rather have it the other way round; M3 engine in a standard body, but what a car to have at age 21 B)
