Cannockwolf's Supercharged 330ci in Laguna Seca Blue

Recommended Posts

I think Mono's will be overkill on a road car, i have mine set to 8 clicks out of 16 and its still very crashy for a daily.

HSD dual tech @ £585 i think would be a good middle of the road coilover.

I'm not sure any budget set ups have been discussed here? Anything that isn't the best of the best of the best can be considered 'budget' to some extent but doesn't mean it is ;)

If you want to be pedantic even the best of the best are budget, its just that the budget is a lot higher...

Koni dampers with lowering springs have been discussed - my point was that a supercharged 330ci deserves better :)

Wow, I don't look at this thread for a week and you've had new wheels, a new steering wheel, and a supercharger fitted! Nice work.

As someone that normally hates black wheels with a passion, I actually think they look dead smart against the silver. Probably helps it's a good job instead of a lot of the rattle can jobs you see.

:D

the wheels look loads better in real life than photos, ive had to raise the midtones a lot to bring them out, tbh, since i had them on ive had nothing but compliments from people who have seen them

9am start tomorrow :D

Got it back home, was told to not rev it high and not to make high boosts so drove it like I was carrying a bucket of water in my lap lol, was told 500 miles or more the better.

On a plus note it behaves like stock while cruising I could quite easily give the wife the keys and not worry about her handling the car fine. I noticed it begging for more throttle, you could tell it was eager to go, can't wait to give it a real run. The noise is very quite, I can here a slight whine in the background, that's good, hopefully when giving it the beans it will make a lovely sound to go with the performance. I don't know whether it's because I've had a 2L diesel for a week but the car sounds more powerful lol, I don't know if this is a placebo effect :D

Bearing in mind I have just switched to shell nitrous+ as well but I was getting 40 mpg on the a roads and 38 mpg cruising at 85, that's well up on what I was getting before.

My steering wheel feels amazing btw, it's soooooo comfortable to drive with!

On the subject of HSD coilovers, the "dual tech" and "monopro" aren't much different whatsoever. Both share the same spring rates and rebound rating, dampening settings are 2 clicks different and both have camber adjustable fronts. The dual tech's really are a steal at under £600, I will be going for a set once I have my new wheels fitted.

Excellent and yes the sc is louder when at full throttle and runnin through the revs, particularly top end - well it was with my old mini where you couldn't hardly tell it was charged until you gave it proper beans :)

This vid shows what I mean - starts off quiet but then gets on it when up the revs - your charger should be along the same lines...

Can't wait for you to put a video up :)
