You need to tax & insure the E36 unless it's SORN, which it's not. I'm not 'worried' about it, I'm just glad I live nowhere near you and so don't run the risk of having an accident with an uninsured driver. Dr T Posted October 4, 2013 Report Share Posted October 4, 2013 silly question, but can you really register a car in another country without any proof it's been exported? what do you need, just a foreign address that you can claim to live at for a certain amount of time and still pick up post from, such as a parents address? How do you insure it, via a company based in the country its registered in or do you have to use a uk insurance company as its based here all the time?
