shafz
Did the E46 windscreen washer bottles ever come with a filter that slots in where you fill it up? edit: Bought and fitted If anyone wants one, I have some. £5 posted Edited April 15, 2015 by shafz

shafz
Got me wondering now. Will have to check later. with the amount of people on here that have to empty the filters on the actual bottles, i was under the impression that they didn't come with filters lol
RickyZ
They did but over time they degrade mainly through heat I imagine and then eventually break, people forget/cba to replace them and ergo no one has one lol

BmEagle
Mine was missing but tbh didn't bother replacing. Screen wash comes out of a bottle. Tap water to dilute from a jug or lemonade type bottle. With holes that big what's it gonna stop. Oddly my old car had one and the washer tank kept growing slime inside. The top filter was always getting gunked up. But you've done it now, I know I'll end up popping in to stealers on the way home next week to get one as I know there should be one in there and there isn't. Dammit. ? Edited again because I keep typing if instead of of and vice versa. Bloody phone. Edited February 20, 2014 by BmEagle shafz

StuBeeDoo
The filter is missing out of my washer bottle as well. A few weeks ago, I had to take the bottle off the car and clean both pump filters. They were clogged-solid with what looked like that blue paper you get in petrol stations.
