Nice work there Mikey, a true baby carrying machine that, lol.

Hope to catch you at a meet or something in the not too distant future.

Yes, not the most family orientated form of transport but we have her bus for that! Hope the wedding went well buddy. B)

Nice work! OEM backbox mod would be all I would do.

OEM backbox mod on a M3?

Basically cutting open the OEM backbox, gutting the insides and then welding back up.

I suspect he won't want to void his warranty :)

He probably wont want to make it sound like a bag of spanners by doing that mod either, just explaining what it was :)

Have you heard one in person? I'm really not a fan. I think it sounds really bad, same with the E46 M's.

I've heard one in the flesh and think it sounds lovely. It's letting more of the V8 noise out, what's not to like?

I guess it's just personal preference. I really didn't like the sound (on both E46 and E9*).

I'm guessing Mit knew perfectly well what Bungers meant, more like he was surprised someone would attempt to butcher a back box on such an expensive and new car. It's not a ten year old 1.2 Corsa  Edited by Daz 330 Cs

Lovely purchase mate, you must be made up. I know Keith speaks highly of his E90, what's not to love?

Cheers Das. The E9* series took a while to grow on me to be honest but since I drove it I was hooked, very similar feeling to when I drove my E46 ///M. Admittedly I wasn't looking at one so recent but thought it was worth stretching the budget to get what I wanted.

Kudos to the missus for letting me get a 4 seater still even though we are now a family of 5! B)

So I've had a couple of days of hooning around. Must admit the V8 roar is pretty addictive ! The gear change of the DCT box is amazing. I thought my SMG was pretty quick at changing but this thing is instantaneous. The HK loudspeaker system is pretty incredible compared to the E46 one. The 2 underseat subs really make the car rock. Definitely no need to upgrade in any shape or form in my opinion. The exhaust note is pretty awesome too ! My daughter says she can hear me coming home about long before I actually arrive. I did let the missus drive it around the block and you can hear it for quite a while before the sound disappears. The start/stop can be a bit annoying. I quite like listening to the V8 burble in traffic so have to get used to remembering to turn it off at start up as it is set to be on as default.

Anyway a few more pics.

The power delivery is more linear than the pure aggression you got in the 46 but it gets there probably a tad quicker I would say. The power is pretty much there all the way through the rev range where the 46 came into it's own at around 4k revs. A bit more juicy with the heavy right foot driving but a more solid ride I think than the 46. Both great cars but drive different to each other.
