StuBeeDoo
Because eBay is full of idiots! I know, but how else do you sell stuff you no longer need. Forums (well, a specific E30 one....) are even worse. Everyone wants everything for nothing. They know exactly what stuff is worth but they still don't want to pay for it. Mary Berry. That is all. What a stuck up, miserable, elitist women. ..... You forgot the idiot that does Bake Off with her. Greasy slimeball.
TriggerFish
That's another rant in itself - e30zone! I've meet a couple of good guys on there, but the forum regulars, are, on large, enough to put me off posting there. Great wealth of knowledge though, sadly. I need to give r3v a go. http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=255754 Check that out for an example of complete dickness. All those points are true for the E30 too, which is largely just a scene car for tartan wearing bearded hipsters. The fat guy with the grey beard on the Bake-Off? He's not too bad - but that presenter women is terrible. I hate the whole show really. Surely there's more important things in the world than how many layers there are in a pastry?! (Like cars - much more important) Edited October 1, 2014 by TriggerFish StuBeeDoo
StuBeeDoo
e30zone! I've meet a couple of good guys on there, but the forum regulars, are, on large, enough to put me off posting there. Great wealth of knowledge though I was exactly the same, Joe. The last 3, or so, years I had the E30 I spent less and less time on there. One or two decent blokes but the rest, in the main, have "all the gear but no idea". .....And when you try to politely tell them they're wrong, they turn a flame-fest on you. I just hope this place doesn't go the same way.
M3NXN
I'm with you both on the e30zone! Spent many years on there as pretty much the only forum I used and tbh it got to the point where I never bothered posting just reading. A select few think they own the place, that they have the BEST e30 to have ever left the production lines and that unless you're one of those select few you know nothing. Even if you're right, you're still wrong. On the card vs cash thing, I spent way more by withdrawing cash all the time. Now I only spend the exact amount I need to spend by paying with debit card, no change burning holes! I also have zero debts, zero overdraft and zero credit cards. Banks probably hate me TriggerFish and StuBeeDoo

StuBeeDoo
Yet again........ Bloody idiots on eBay. One of my auctions has just ended, it was clearly listed as collection only. Bloody idiot 200 miles away from me bid 5sec from the end (probably a snipe, but I can't criticise ....) and now wants me to meet him half-way between mine and his. No chance! .......Unless he's going to pay for my fuel, and wait until it's convenient for me. Why the feck can't these people ask the question before bidding?? 24 hours and 15 messages later, he's still p155ing me about. Now he wants to send a courier when I've already told him I haven't got anything anywhere near big enough to package them in. Plus I told him I can't wait in all day for a courier to come. I'm getting close to refunding him (bloody twonk paid by PayPal before he even contacted me!) and reporting him to eBay.
StuBeeDoo
I think we've resolved it now, but he's not happy. Doubtless he's slagging me off on E30Zone (having only given them half the story). M3NXN

M3NXN
Why oh why did I sell most of my tools and equipment 6 years ago? I've spent a good few k in 2 days, excluding the buying of a van. Still, at least I'm off the corporate political b******t bandwagon now sag2

I am glad to have one less bit of the E30 left to sell, but TBH I dropped the starting price so low I'm kicking myself now. .....Although I suppose the £190 I'm going to trouser is better than still have stuff I'll never use collecting dust and taking-up space ad infinitum. Now, I just need to get rid of the engine............

RickyZ
Seems strange, you would most likely need to prove the money was in the account Good luck sive s
StuBeeDoo
Frakkin' cats! VERMIN!!! We live in the middle of a terrace of cottages. The neighbours both sides have 3 cats each. The neighbour to the left has a completely paved back garden. The neighbour to the right has a very minimal lawn. .....And in any case, cats never s**t in their own garden, do they? So where do they go? In our garden, that's where. I managed to stop them digging up all our plants by putting down chicken wire (great tip that, got it off the 'net). Now, where do they go?? On my frakkin' lawn! They don't even attempt to bury it like cats normally do - just squat their arses, dump, and piss off. There's waste ground right behind our parking area, but do they even attempt to dump there? You guessed it.......... Not only that, but if we use our parking area, the bastards jump all over the cars scratching the paint and 'screens - so we have to park on a road about 200m away. If we didn't get on so well with our neighbours, I'd put antifreeze down. I read this the other day. Shame it is unworkable.
