Sam Posted January 5, 2015 Report Share Posted January 5, 2015 Just picked up a X3 over the weekend, and driving home spotted a cheap toggle switch in the plastic trim by the handbrake. Took the trim off and it's got 4 cables coming from the front of the car, 2 to the switch and 2 to the red LED. Very badly done with crimps and tape. When switched to 'on' the light comes on and there is a audiable beep. But the car seems no different, as in, everything works when the switch is 'off' What could it be? I can do a photo later, but it's just one of these with a LED next to it. To me, it's enabling something, as it lights up and bings at you. rather than swapping between. It has a ipod dock on the dash, I'm wondering if it's to toggle between that and the CD prep (maybe sold before I bought the car?) If only Will, keep the missus quite!
