Ashley1995
I'm looking to get new wheels soon and have found some I like but I'm not 100% sure they will fit. I'm quite good with most stuff but wheel fitment has always puzzled me so it's about time I learnt. The wheels I'm looking at are: 15" 7J et20 fronts and 8j et18 rears how do I work out if they will fit and then what tyre size I need? For reference, here's my car now with 15" running 185/45 fronts and 195/45 rears but I don't know what offset or what J Plus would 16" be better to fill the arches etc? Cheers! Rob-
Looks sweet that! I like the way the greenest bit of the hedge looks roughly the same length as the car. Sorry I can't help with the fitment issue. MRyan
StuBeeDoo
15x7 on E30s should be et24. Anything down to et18 ought to be OK, but if you're really low, you might need to roll the arches. I ran et13 MiM1300s for a while on mine, but I was on factory Sport springs. The rears rubbed on full bump, and the fronts were slightly outside the wheel arch lip (I'd guess about 5mm). Personally, I preferred the look of my car on Hartge 16x7.5s (et25). But the ride was noticably harsher than on 15s with proper 205/55 rubber - it was bad enough that I would never have considered going beyond 16s, that would have made it far too harsh. HTH, Stuart. EDIT:- I think 8in/et18 rears might well cause you a problem. Edited February 20, 2015 by StuBeeDoo
TriggerFish
http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=205&aspect=55&diameter=15&wheelwidth=7&offset=24&width2=205&aspect2=55&diameter2=15&wheelwidth2=8&offset2=18#content http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=205&aspect=55&diameter=15&wheelwidth=7&offset=24&width2=205&aspect2=55&diameter2=15&wheelwidth2=7&offset2=20#content Fronts sound fine, 18.7mm extra at the rear sounds like it might be a bit tricky (not sure what clearance there is). And 6.7mm nearer to the strut might be close too, I dunno how much clearance there is. I'd check your wheels for a reference too. Might help clear things up? Ashley1995
Hmm that's a shame... I''l try find out what mine are at the moment to compare. I'd rather not roll the arches just because id like to keep it as original as possible Edit: found some the same but with a rear offset of 25 but i guess that wont help? DJ Syxx
That should fit. I've seen wider wheels fitted to e30s like Borbet A's and there hasn't been much of an issue fitting them.
