Andrive
Not sure if that was a reference to us or not, or why Andrive is always being slated on this particular forum by people who haven't even bought one of our systems. All the talk of us not offering support is utter nonsense and I would recommend anyone to call us between 10am-5pm any weekday where your call will always be answered and on the spot support will be offered. Our phone number is, and always has been directly in our sig image! Its incredibly disappointing to have to deal with this day in day out on E46zone, a forum i have been a personal member on for 5 years. Andrive was started with the sole intention of eliminating the issues people have with chinese sellers support, warranty and quality and software on OEM units, but by offering what we do, we seem to be expected to offer it all for nothing, and the snide comments are pretty hard not to take personally when you have put your heart and soul and a crap load of your own money into to get it up and running. We have premises, NO WE DONT RUN THIS FROM HOME, rates, customs duty and of course the costs of running a UK business such as Corporation tax to pay.. If people don't want to buy from Andrive, simply don't, but please don't slate us for trying to offer a quality service and product support from a UK company. If you want to get a unit from china without the improvements, go ahead. Its like many people on here hate the idea of a UK comapny actually trying to do things properly! Its a sad fact that our once favourite forum is slowly becoming a massive thorn in our side, and not because of customers, but because of loose tounged forum members that often speak nonsense about us or the units themselves without any facts whatsoever. Its all really really disappointing from the zone tbh. Edited July 4, 2013 by Andrive
Mikey
Guys, topic tidied. Please note, Andrive is a forum sponsor who pay money to advertise their products on this forum and I think it's very bad taste for others to come on here promoting other company units in this topic. If you want to talk about other units, make your own topic for discussion but this is not the place. Andrive, Cannockwolf and M3NXN

I was typing at the same time there and would just like to clarify that my comment was aimed at the Chinese. I've followed Andrive discussions since they started through the ups and downs and I have nothing but good praise for you guys to be honest. Cannockwolf
when i had my enco i tried emailing for a simple bit of advice, several times, and they didn't even reply, it wasn't a problem, it was just a simple question, if they are not making money they don't bother, FACT! Since andrive got back from the states i have had quick replies and even a photographic tutorial on how to get torque running, which is working fine btw This is the reason i spent the extra for an Andrive, the latest android (rooted) and future software improvements as an when they are done, this is what the premium goes towards and i was even given a discount for being a subscriber here. I tried the cheap Chinese import way and if you take the rough with the smooth and except what you get they are a cheap way of getting a lot of kit for your money, but i wanted more. Jay529
I don't have an Andrive but from all the good reviews and comments I have heard from the product I would certainly purchase one when funds are available. The features incorporated in the head unit Is mind blowing especially when you compare it to the dynavin units that don't even touch what Andrive can do. I see Andrive as apple you pay the premium to get amazing produce and customer support, so when you shaves problem it can be resolved there and then an I will always have a peace of mind knowing that I have brought a product that is UK based no matter where the produce has been manufactured or come from. Keep up the good work guys and I will hopefully be your next customer Sent from my iPhone when I'm suppose to be working
Andrive
Nice to see there is some love out there for what we do I'd also just like to mention that Andrive do try to support the zone as much as possible. Subscribers, and Only subscribers get the zone discount, and I've lost count of the amount of members who have asked for the discount and been told its for subscribers, so have gone and paid the £10 to subscribe to the zone to then get the discount. We do and always have enjoyed E46 zone, so trying to give something back is just natural. We are a young company and have learned a lot over the past 13 months in this business. Nobody is ever perfect but we are here to support Andrive owners and the bmw scene as a whole to the best of our ability, now and into the future. LloydPickering
New here, just subscribed to the site, and ordered an Andrive unit! I did send some emails to sales and support a few days ago as well as using the site's contact form, and am still yet to get a response. I have to admit, I am a little nervous about support, but I figure it's not a big problem when you are so active here - but it must scare some potential buyers off! Looking forward to replacing my Wargames era nav unit (must be a Mk1 or 2) with an Andrive.

LloydPickering
Thanks, I haven't had any missed calls, but I guess it's possible I mistyped my phone number... Out of interest what is the shipping times right now? A few months ago there were posts here saying they can arrive next day if ordered pre 1pm. I'm not expecting it that soon (as the site said up to 7 days), but if it did arrive tomorrow, I think the weather is supposed to be good this weekend for tinkering with the car! Rebel
Not sure if that was a reference to us or not, or why Andrive is always being slated on this particular forum by people who haven't even bought one of our systems. I think it boils down to 1 of 3 or a combination of things for some people: 1. From past experience with other well known / branded I.C.E. they expect the same user experience i.e switch on and everything works flawlessly / seamlessly out of the box with no configuration required. When faced with a configuration issue they immediately associate it with a hardware issue. 2. Most have no experience of a 'carputer' and as a result probably don't know what to expect as they have nothing to compare your product to in the branded arena (ie Pioneer, Alpine etc), only the cheaper unsupported Chinese units that they see break so often and so as a result expect the same / draw the same conclusions. 3. £600 is a fair chunk of money to most people, even £300 for the cheaper Eonon, Enco etc units is allot so people become frustrated and assume that you are charging £300 extra for UK support and a warranty, especially as there does not appear to be a UK competitor. With a minority it is perhaps a way of wishing your retail price down by creating bad publicity. I would say, continue doing as you're doing, continue to improve your product and business model and never forget past customers i.e. continue to support and provide software / hardware upgrades for older models to keep them as current as possible and reward repeat business. I think that's all a good customer can really want and expect. It might even be worth doing another Andrive Vs A.N. Other (Eonon, Enco etc) on your web page as most people have forgotten Dynavin. It might help people understand why your product is nothing like what they assume they can purchase for half the price on the interweb Andrive
Andrive
I think thats it, people don't understand the costs involved in running a UK business! Our profit is modest to say the least, and we have to make a living! I think some wrongly assume we run this part time from home. it is a full time business run from a business premises Edited July 8, 2013 by Andrive Rebel

dobbor1
Andrive have told me they are working on a new box as I pointed this problem out a good while ago. Also a firmware update is also supposed to be sorting out the gps problem but yet to see any of the above. As for the brackets, these are supposed to be on order. They have been very helpful in the past with installation issues but it has gone concerningly quiet since. The units come with a 12 month warranty so would expect any niggling issue to be sorted.Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Highly annoying. Yours Andrive as well? Nope, personally have the enco unit, I'm not interested in android and that's obviously to me the only reason to go for an andrive unless you get the later enco's now. They've released the new box so I assume andrive are awaiting it from the sole manufacture?? I'm in the habit now of home button and iPod selection on startup. I won't unplug my canbus box to sort it as I have reversing camera Cannockwolf
