Cannockwolf's Supercharged 330ci in Laguna Seca Blue

Recommended Posts

Fitted Alcantara gators for the gearstick and the handbrake, thinking about going alcantara on the steering wheel as well but need to wear this one out as its still in very good nick after jack covered it.

jack in banbury (i think) (called royal summat) recovered my wheel in leather but he can do alcantara re-covering too, does a damn good job too, mine was £105 back then, probably more now

Royal Steering Wheels? They're literally just down the road from me in Aylesbury. (Ah, beaten by mneth - teach me to skim read!)

The gatiors look good too, prefer them to leather ones!

In preparation for getting torque running I needed to sort a lead out that would not impead my driving, normal cables hang down quite a lot with me being a lanky bugger it would have been knocked constantly and looks crap too, so found this right angle extension lead that has a low profile and it just long enough to reach through the hole on the panels onto the gap behind the cubbyhole tray where i can have the lead out of the way.

all in all this is a brilliant solution thats virtually hidden from view, plus not relocating the plug means garages can still use it as normal

Any pics of the wheel? I might be interested in it if its the style I was going for and even have a spare wheel that you could use to get retrimmed in alcantara if you wanted to come to a deal of somesort?

You want your steering wheel re-trimmed? Jack is your man!

This is my wheel:

(Black stitching.. Didn't want //M tri-colour..)

That was 2 years ago now I think? The perforated leather has flattened since, but now looks like I have the genuine BMW performance wheel! :P

Yeh I know where you get it done......but if you read the recent posts CannockWolf was umming and arring over perhaps getting his retrimmed to match his new gaitors.....I was suggesting a way of him getting some money back on his existing wheel rather then waiting for it to wear out!!

lol

ok what about £50 and the m-sport wheel you have spare, plus can you swap them over? that's well under half the price of you getting yours recovered by jack

the way jack works is he sends me a wheel after i pay plus a £150 deposit for it then when i send it back i get the refund, i just need to send him the same wheel in good condition (on the bits that show of course)

whatcha think?

nah that doesnt matter about that part of the wheel

ill email jack for details and get it started then

Pressed plates for the rear fitted, the yellow colour is quite darker to the regular plate, is that normal?

post-6240-0-19007700-1370521385_thumb.jp

seriously considering going plateless on the front for a while and see how the local police take it, they don't seem to give a flying f**k about it not being spaced correctly and the 50% tints, actually had them talking to me next to the car when the shop alarm went off, and got 'chatted' to about my speed (not overly excessive mind) and he even mentioned the plate and still let be go, didn't even say get the plate changed!

Im going to leave it on for the road trip in Europe, don't want to give them amunition

Looks about right. They don't have quite same impact or appeal as the proper euro versions. The UK font is too thick and blocky imo.
