dunk1
I've just been looking on Autotrader and I'm quite surprised at what E46 convertibles are being advertised for. There's an 06 with 55k up at £10k and 4 pages of various E46 vert models/mileage above £4k Edited July 30, 2021 by dunk1
dunk1
Our friends at webuyanycar.com just valued mine at £2600 which would no doubt drop when they went over it and pulled it on every mark lol
incredirog
10k!!! there are 3 M3’s on auto trader for less than that
momo
Regular, high-spec'd E46's are starting to climb in value again. I'm considering keeping my 330d now because it's a 6sp with Xenon and Sunroof - pretty rare combo! Body is f'ed mind.. lol. But nothing a couple of K couldn't fix if the car's value warranted it! dunk1
God knows if they sell at these prices. momo

dunk1
I'm away for maybe 10 days but will look into selling my 330Ci when I'm back, had it since 2013 and as good as it is I fancy a change, possibly my mid life crisis is coming
momo
£1000? lol dunk1
dontpannic
I genuinely have no idea what mine is worth now. I paid £5200 for it back in 2014, a 75k mile 330D Sport Touring Auto with HK. I don't see many if any 330D Sport Tourings any more, not rust free ones in the same spec as mine (now has factory xenons). Once the value of it creeps above £5k I'll be happy lol dunk1
dunk1
I was offered £6k not that long ago but keep thinking what will i replace it with ? Nothing is going to cruise around really any better and be a whole new unknown bunch of problems I have always loved the look and performance of the AMG SL500 but everyone tells me not to go there inc a local Merc specialist unless i can live with repair bills dontpannic
dontpannic
Yeah I totally agree. I'm a 33 year old car enthusiast who's bought his 'forever' cars way too early 😂 The only problem on the horizon is my proximity to the ULEZ zone, but I figure it wouldn't be the end of the world to chuck an M54B30 in there should I want to keep the car but convert to Petrol. dunk1
momo
Do you mean the mid 2000 shape SL500? Yeah stay away.. I know a couple of Mercedes fanboys and they say stay away from that shape. Lovely engine but when they go wrong, and when the bodies rust? They're not worth it. I'd keep the E46 mate. We're very close to the E46 shape becoming desirable again and values going up. Mine has a fair amount of rust on the rear arches (well documented on this forum) and i'm in two minds whether to keep it and get them cut out and replaced. Wont be in 2022, maybe 2023. I think values will be well and truly trending upwards by then.

It would be 2008 onwards when they changed from the twin headlight front I can't fault my 330, drives very nicely, goes well enough, looks good imo, covered 4000 miles in europe no problem. I've just had it too long I think and fancy looking at something different on the drive, a bit like girlfriends Edited September 9, 2021 by dunk1 momo
