I don't think it's people being knobs about it.

It is a bummer that it got stolen, real bummer. I didn't realise people were still nicking E36s so I'm guessing joyriders.

But I remember a previous thread about wanting a car for every day of the week where Vas said the cars are unlikely to get stolen as they are all kept in a locked compound and he calls the insurance company and changes cars whenever he wants to drive one, or he gets daily insurance, or something along those lines.

So it was either stolen from his locked compound or it left the compound without the daily insurance he claimed he had.

While I don't think you deserved for this to happen, far from it, I do think you left yourself open to it by not having the right insurance by your own admission.

Get some pics up, if we see it of course we'll report it etc, but I reckon it's either been stripped for parts or burnt at the roadside by now.

Fair enough, but personally i'd think the back-story doesn't matter..

Something bad has happened to someone therefore I will do my part by looking out for this car and report back if I see it.

Whether it was insured or not is up to OP. If it wasn't - then I guess he wants it back that much more. Either way, that's nobody's business but the OP's? He's the one who has to deal with the consequences? If he accepts those consequences then more power to him.. No?

Vas got pics yet mate?

Got a few friends who are lorry drivers, so on the road a lot, I would pass pics to them to keep an eye out. Doubt we will have any luck, but the more people looking the better.

sorry for your loss. Hope you find it soon.

Pics or numberplate?

Sorry to hear that dude! Stupid question, but have you checked all the local clampers in case they've towed it?

Mit , yeah i used to park my cars at my mates garage in Romford but recently had an argument with him so i had to move them to Beckton where i live. First i thought the car was towed away as the Tax recently expired but the police gave me the numbers of my local compound yard and yet no one has it so someone must have nicked it. Yeah i was also surprised the decided to go for the E36 as there were 3 much more valuable BMWs parked right next to it.

Some pics:

And this is where it was last seen parked along with my other cars (the Silver one in the middle right ,sorry for the crappy photo)

Also dunno if it matters but I spoke with the neighbors and one of them told me that he spotted a very similar BMW looking suspicious with a foreign (polish or lithuanian) numberplates plates yesterday parked on my street

So, you've got all those cars sitting on your street, uninsured... Then you've posted online about what you've done.. And your surprised its gone missing?

Im sorry about the missing car, but really? - leaving a car out in public view, uninsured.. Was it really worth it?

Is there any reason why you can't/don't have a multi car or traders insurance policy ?

This car would have had ews fitted, they wouldn't have been able to steal it without keys, so they would have had to pick it up. I live in Romford area and commute via ilford, ill keep my eyes peeled.

Untaxed & uninsured parked up on the public highway? I would imagine someone thought it was abandoned & helped themselves.
